The Carpinteria Valley Museum of
History provides a fascinating glimpse into the Valley’s past. A variety of
unique exhibits examine the three major cultures that made this valley their
home. The Carpinteria Valley Historical Society, a nonprofit, educational
organization, created, maintains, and operates the Museum and research
library. The Society’s mission is dedicated to collect, preserve, interpret,
and exhibit objects of historical significance related to the Carpinteria
Valley.

Hours: Tuesday – Saturday, 1:00 – 4:00 PM.
(Closed Sundays, Mondays, and major holidays.)
Administrative Office Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00

General Admission is free, donations are very much
appreciated.

Adults: $2; Seniors and Children: $1
TOURS: Docent-led
tours are available during regular Exhibit Gallery hours.
School groups and other special group tours are by
appointment. Morning hours are available by request. Please call or e-mail the museum.
Special School Tour topics available include Local
History; Chumash Indians; Pioneer Lifestyles; and general early California
history from Spanish exploration and conquest during the Mission period,
through the Mexican Rancho period, and the Gold Rush and American Pioneer
periods.
